    Professional Profile

Prof. Zhan Qimin has dedicated his career to molecular oncology and translational medicine. He is internationally recognized for his seminal work on cell cycle checkpoints, being among the first to systematically reveal the mechanisms of key proteins in cell cycle monitoring. His research elucidated the roles of these proteins in carcinogenesis, diagnosis, and personalized treatment. In recent years, his laboratory has utilized genomic sequencing to map the genetic landscape of esophageal cancer, providing a theoretical foundation for understanding its pathogenesis, identifying molecular biomarkers, and discovering novel therapeutic targets.

Dr. Zhan is a prolific author with over 240 peer-reviewed SCI publications in leading journals such as Nature, Cell, J Clin Invest, EMBO Journal, Mol Cell Biol, Science, Cancer Res, Oncogene, J Biol Chem, and PNAS. His work has been cited for more than 14,000 times. He has served as Editor-in-Chief for seven academic books, and has delivered over 150 plenary lectures at international and domestic conferences and co-chaired 15 major international meetings.
